Why don't you just try some B6? Read the previous post regarding dosage. Alternatively try some full vitamin B complex capsules. There is a good chance it will help you, the cost is minimal, and the risk of any harm is very low if you follow the dosage instructions on the bottle.

I know this is a very old thread but I just wanted to ask if Vitamin B6 is the real cure for chronic dry, chapped, and cracked lips. I've tried absolutely everything from drinking excessive amounts of water, consuming whole grains, protein, healthy fats, fruits vegetables, and using vaseline lip balm. Most lip balms that are high-end and drugstore make my lips even more chapped and dry. My lips are naturally big and plump but because of this they've shrunk in size and fullness. So if Vitamin B6 supplements can make my lips softer, smoother, and plumper again, please respond to my message if possible. Thank you.

One winter my elbows were dry and cracking and I was developing a painless yet horribly grotesque blackish-purple mountain range of raised clumpy bumps on my elbows, arms, shoulders, and it crept onto my chest before I went to the dermatologist. I also had chronic chapped lips, regardless of me drinking adequate water. My dermatologist prescribed 4 medications for my arms. I instead researched my chapped lips and found that it could be a Vitamin B6 deficiency. So I went to the health store and bought the cheapest bottle I could find of 100 50UI tablets and took one each morning before eating. My chapped lips were gone in 2-3 days, and in 1-2 weeks every trace of me changing into a zombie had disappeared, and never returned. I stopped taking B6 after the bottle ran out. I never filled any of the prescriptions.
