Remedy: Lysine
L-Lysine is an amino acid that is a building block for all protein in the body. It plays a major role in calcium absorption; building muscles and ligaments; and the production of hormones, enzymes, and antibodies. It is an essential amino acid, which means that your body cannot make it, so you have to get it from your food.
L-Lysine plentiful in all pulses (legumes). Other foods that contain significant amounts of lysine include: red meat, eggs, watercress, carob, caraway seeds, cumin, coriander seed, spinach, amaranth, quinoa and buckwheat.

Immediately upon the beginning of an outbreak take two 500 mg tablets. Then take one tablet per day until 2 or 3 days after the day the canker sore appears to be healed. You can also crush a piece of tablet into powder, and apply it directly to the canker. Push it into the pit. Leave it for a few minutes, holding it so that saliva does not wash it away
