Ailment: Mosquito bite
Remedy: Vitamin C
The best source of vitamin C is organic food. Many fruits and vegetables have high levels of vitamin C in an available and effective form. If you temporarily need to supplement, take a vitamin C supplement made from a fruit rather than one synthesised in a factory, as it will be far more effective.

YES
Adelle Davis the famous nutritionist of yesteryear, swears that a massive dose of Vit C can save lives of people bitten by lethally venomous snakes, spiders or for other insect stings.
I myself am allergic to bee and wasp stings and twice now have been stung by a wasp on my lip and jaw. Also last summer I had 6 bee stings on my back. In all cases I took 5 x 1g Vit c tablets and (touch wood) I had no symptoms whatsoever, not even swelling or redness.
I now always carry 5g of Vit C with me in my handbag just in case.....for myself or perhaps someone else.
She says it also works for carbon monoxide poisoning and that of poison ivy and poison oak.
