I find it helps reduce inflammation. However, there are those that have trouble processing MSM and cannot take too much sulfur even though it's good for the body. I only found out through genetic testing. Therefore I keep my intake of MSM to a minimum, but I still use it if my arthritis is bothering me too much. I've been told the pill form has a lot of fillers and is ineffective. This seemed to bear out as I never had good results with pills. Only the powder form seems to help.

I have been using 2000mg a day for two years and my arthritis is significantly better controlled. I have cut back on prescription pain meds and no longer take any OTC meds. My golden retriever whose vet diagnosed hip dysplasia and arthritis also takes 2000mg per day in his food. He is playing and running again after having been sedentary. It works for us!

Have been using 1000-2000mg daily for two years. My arthritis is less painful, I've cut back on Rx pain meds, I can think more clearly and have tons of energy. I love it.
