I always find my arthritis pain to be greatly reduced by an alkaline diet. The more leafy greens in the diet, the better I feel. I find the worst antagonists to be dairy, wheat, tomato and too much animal protein.

Arthritis can be aggravated by a variety of foods and supplements, depending on the particular individual. Try reducing your use of dairy foods and other sources of indigestible calcium, especially pills containing calcium. Eliminating nightshade (solanum family) vegetables may also relieve the pain and other symptoms. Solanums include tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplants and tobacco. Some people report that avoiding citrus fruits or strawberries helps.
