I agree wholeheartedly with the Cayenne red pepper remedy for sore throat. I was given a similar recipe 1 teaspoon Cayenne red pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt in a cup of hot water. Now I use sea salt or Himalayan Pink salt in 1/2 cup hot water and let these large salt crystals dissolve, stirring them then add the Cayenne. Stir it and gargle it several times until empty. Call the fire department to put out the fire in your mouth. By the time they arrive your fire will have subsided. Within 8 hours usually the sore throat will be almost if not all gone. I use this every time with success when a sore throat comes on. PS. Please do NOT call the fire department because they are too busy for my foolish joke!

Dissolve a heaped teaspoon of natural sea salt in quarter of a glass of warm to hot water. Gargle a mouthful of the solution for 20-30 seconds, then spit it out. Keep repeating for a few minutes until you have used all the solution. Don’t drink or eat anything for 15 minutes, to let the salt do it’s work. I use this remedy whenever I have a sore throat, and it usually gives relief within minutes. I gargle two or three times per day, and especially last thing before going to bed.
