I use a full lb of baking soda in my bath tub water along with 1 kg Mediterranean Sea Salt (dollar store) and epsom salts. But, I first used the dry baking soda and an ultra soft micro-fibre cloth to softly clean my skin. Wash first before the skin loosens and can tear. Then the baking soda is washed into the water and the rest of the box added. I soak at least 20 minutes. Then I rinse well. I pat dry, coat my skin with coconut oil, allow it to absorb for about five-ten minutes, lightly pat it down so it won’t soil my clothes. Next, I imbibe about 1 tsp baking soda (pop in mouth) and glug back nice cold water, two cups or what I desire. Do not do this until either ten or more minutes before any meal (meal needs acids to digest) or two-three hours after a meal. I do this four times a day. This is the only protocol that has helped me. I have done the chemical route, and naturopathic studies in the hundreds of hours of search and book reading. I even fasted thirty days when my epidermis on my lower legs and arms dropped off. I leaked for 18 hours and could not get enough liquids in me. That was my breaking point and my eureka moment (near the end of the fast or no results) regarding alkalinity. Baking soda does the alkalising for you. Will this work for everyone? I don’t know. There are so many personal success stories with protocols that are not universal. These two electrolytes are used in emergency ward situations and chemotherapy. Namaste and care, mhikl

I have two possible cures for an itchy scalp. For 5 months now I have been bathing with a 1/2 cup or less of baking soda in my bath water. I had an itchy scalp for about 20 years. It has subsided. I noticed when I forget the baking soda, my scalp gets itchy. Also I make my own plain yogurt, cut out wheat, sugars, and eat and drink fermented items which may be also helping. Diet definitely has an effect on skin outbreaks.
