Grapefruit seed extract is a liquid made from the seeds, pulp, and white membranes of grapefruit. Commercially, it is made by grinding grapefruit seeds and pulp, and then mixing with glycerine. Grapefruit seed extract is a powerful antimicrobial, particularly against bacteria and fungi.

YES I use grapefruit seed extract as a first treatment for colds and ‘flu, and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. If I ever have symptoms such as fever, colds, hoarseness, cough, sore throat, sore head, joint pains; or infections of the gastro-intestinal tract with diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. The grapefruit seed extract has proven very effective: 3-15 drops 2-3 times a day diluted in a glass of water. The drops are already diluted in glycerin and must be mixed very well water, and if the taste is too bitter, you can add juice.
