YES My 88 year old mother has had GERD for 20 years that I know of. I got involved a few years ago as she aged and I can vouch that taking DGL before most meals and definitely before aspirin or other NSAIDs almost always eliminates a typical GERD reaction. Over the years, she usually used baking soda, which often helped the symptom but doesn't heal the problem. DGL helps to heal the mucosal lining of the stomach. After not eating tomato products for years, she can eat spaghetti with tomato sauce with no adverse effects as long as she takes the DGL before eating. It's not an instant fix as it takes time for the body to heal. If she neglects to take a DGL and ends up burping or in pain usually near the sternum, I give her a swig of pickle juice. Within a few minutes she usually feels much better. I've added this as a separate comment/remedy.
