Paint the tick or mosquito bite with oil of oregano, preferably wild Greek oregano essential oil. It is a powerful astringent. I use it in conjunction with painting on Lugol’s iodine solution on the tick bite as soon as possible after the bite. I repeat the iodine and oregano after two hours, and then every twelve hours for the next three days. Within a day the swelling is gone along with the itching. Hopefully in time to thwart off Lyme disease.
