I applied a thick paste of Vicks vapo rub to my toe nail 1-2 times daily for close to a year. I also cut away the dead toenail as much as I could, as the fungus had destroyed almost the whole nail on my large left toe. A new nail, fungus free, eventually returned. A long process, but worth the effort.
