I suffered with demodex for over a year and although tea tree oil, clove oil, coconut oil and Cliradex pads helped, the products over time were harsh on my skin and the demodex were not gone yet. I read someone online saying all you need is fresh aloe vera with no additives, which means you can pick up an aloe vera leaf at the grocery store, trim off the spines, cut it open and scooped out the gel, throw it in a blender optional and it will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can slather this on your face, in your hair and your scalp, and all over your body if you want. Within about two weeks I thought my demodex were completely under control. I will admit I have continued to use this aloe vera mixture daily, but it is only because I was so miserable before I found it that I want to make sure it doesn't come back. It does not smell funny and it's actually good for my skin.
