Many thanks to the guy who recommended witch hazel. I used it with success and unlike tea tree oil, it is not so likely to have side effects on your skin or scalp. I also used bicarb of soda and spread Vaseline on my face overnight as Vaseline is one thing you can use on your eyes safely. Hope everyone reading this site gets rid of demodex mites real soon!

Please use Witch Hazel. I've been battling these mites for 2 long years, it's the only thing that really helps. Sounds too simple to be true but trust me this works! Witch hazel applied from the bottle to my head, scalp and face is the only thing that helped. Instant results. PLEASE DO THIS

The baking soda wil dry out the demodex mites, you only have to use it a few weeks or months. I use it together with tea tree oil and the itching is going away. I add the baking soda in my shampoo and wash my hair with it, it feels fine not having that itching hair.

About the mite bites. I found that they do not bite when taking a teaspoon of good quality baking soda daily with lemon water or plain water. This changes your ph and they don't like it. In several weeks when I did this only had two bites which happened on the only two days when I did not take the bicarb. Also washing clothes in one half to one cup borax and spraying with cedar oil both on body and anywhere seems to help.
