I have demodex mites. It took me over a year to find a doctor to diagnose me. I am overly infested and it is miserable, hurts and is disfiguring. I started going to a sun tanning salon because I read if you sit in the sun on the beach everyday you will get rid of them. I live in Michigan where there's not a lot of sun, so I go in to the tanning salon for 8 to 10 minutes a day or every other day. It helps a lot.
