YES
I had a really bad fungal infection on my left food for many years. It was not normal athlete's foot because it was not very smelly. The skin tended to blister and peel off in large sheets. I have noticed over the years that when I eat any kind of dried fruit the infection gets worse. The worst offenders are raisins, sultanas, dried apricots, dried figs and dried pears, but really all kinds of dried fruit make the problem noticeably worse a day or two after eating them. Two weeks ago I cut out all forms of dried fruit, and my foot is virtually back to a healthy normal. I'm going to continue this strict diet for a couple of months, because I know that fungal spores can remain in the skin for months or years. Probably for the rest of my life I will eat very little dried fruit at all, because it is not a very healthy food and tends to give me a sugar rush which I particularly notice at night.

Another thing I have been doing is rubbing a little coconut oil on my foot and between the toes after my morning shower. It also helps with persistent fungal infections.
