I was born with non-Cystic Fibrosis Bronchiectasis. I am 70 years old. Half my lung was removed in 1972.
Before I started inclined bed therapy, my usual daily routine of lung draining would take one and a half hours to clear my lungs of sputum. IBT has definitely helped my lung condition. I am not having the frequent serious lung infections that I had before, and sputum production is much less. The infections had to be treated with strong antibiotics for a prolonged time and this in turn disrupted my gut as well as making me feel very unwell, it is wonderful now to experience over a year without that invasive treatment and infection.
IBT is strengthening. I wake refreshed with better blood circulation, increased energy. My sinus is now clear after many years of congestion. My bowel movements are stronger and full. Lovely clear head and greater energy in the mornings. But for me, born with ncf bronchiectasis the greatest help has been reduced sputum and clear sinus. I will keep going with IBT, I know it is unlikely that I will ever want to sleep in a flat bed level bed again.
Few people take notice when I explain the benefits of inclined bed therapy, most people seem to dismiss the idea, they appear to know more about their car engine than their own body! My thanks to Andrew K Fletcher who discovered how IBT works. My conclusion is that because of my underlying health handicap (ncf bronchiectasis) I notice more the things and foods that improve how I feel.
