I have had dry eyes for several years and 5 styes or chalazions this year that take months to heal. I assume the cause is blepharitis demodex mites. I have tried hot rag packs, tea bags, coconut oil with little success. So frustrating.. what finally worked was 25% tea tree oil, 50% baby shampoo and 25% olive oil rubbed on the eyelids and directly on stye as long as I could stand the burning. This concoction got me about 50% better, but when I added colloidal silver as eye drops after the eye wash it healed 2 styes in about 4 days!

Blepharitis, severe, to the point I sometimes could not open my eyes for half an hour. Doctor recommended cleansing with baby shampoo. That would help for about half a day. I started putting 3 drops of 500 ppm colloidal silver in my eyes in the morning when I wake up. It has been less than a week and it has completely cleared up. I'll continue for another couple days then stop and see if it flares up again or is resolved. This has made such a difference! No more itching and dryness and flakes and the swelling is all gone as well.

My pup has Blepharitis OR allergies that arecausing her eye lids to swell. Will Collodial Silver help with this?

What is the best colloidal silver to use since all brands sold are not equal? The brand I used was particulate, not ionic. I don't know if I'm allowed to name the brand here. It caused my eyes to sting and caused one eye to feel like it was very dry and had something in it. I ended up flushing out the cs with eye drops.

I have found spraying a fine mist of colloidal silver from a little spray bottle on my eyes has alleviated the redness, swelling, flaking, itching, without any negative side effects. I have been dealing with this almost a year now. It seems to have started after using a bottle of contact lens solution I never used before. It got so bad nothing seemed to help except the antibiotic/steroidal eye drops prescribed by my eye doctor who diagnosed it as blepharitis (and told me it is chronic/no cure) however, he did not recommend continuing long term use of the drops - and suggested washing eyelashes/eyes with baby shampoo keeping very clean as only way to keep it under control. This helped but not really all that effective, not to mention terribly inconvenient. I could no longer wear any eye make-up or it would flare up terribly and was painful - and disposable daily contacts also irritate if left in too long so I have to wear glasses a lot more. I finally tried spraying on colloidal silver straight - in a little spray bottle. THIS WORKS! Almost immediately alleviated the burning - felt cool & soothing. So I kept doing it the first day about every 30m to 1 hour. Now I only do it several times each day. Am still washing with baby shampoo, but not as frequently, using eye creams to moisturize - all same as before, but spraying a couple sprays at each eye (with eye closed) several times a day, even on top of eye-makeup - a fine mist - then allowing to dry. I have been doing this about 3 days and wore some eye makeup yesterday - washed it off last night, sprayed with silver & the usual redness/itching/burning I would normally have is simply not happening! I think some suffer from blepharitis underneath the eyelid - this may require to use the solution in the eye as previous posters mentioned. I don't know about long term use - but so far it's working where nothing else would. I recommend washing/sanitizing all make-up brushes etc.

Hi Robert, Try using orally at the same time as putting the drops in your eye. Give it a couple of weeks, but no longer, because eventually your eye needs to re-establish a balance of good bacteria

Have blepharitis in left eye for about 1 year. Eye doctor prescribed erythromicin. Did not work. Then two more antibiotics. Same lack of result. Tried 20 ppm colloidal, one drop three times a day each eye. By now its 14 days without results. How long should I continue ? Use orally ( 1 oz. 20 ppm) ? Appreciate any comments.

I put one drop of high quality colloidal silver in each eye, morning and evening. It relieved the inflammation and redness. Surprisingly, it did not sting at all. Shows how gentle colloidal silver is. After three days, my eyes felt much relieved. I did not continue because I had an intuitive feeling that this is not a long term treatment. Does anyone else have any experience here?
