I am a nurse, while at work I began getting a urgency to void and a burning sensation. I knew I had a urinary tract infection (UTI). I had to finish my shift as there is no mercy for nurses! I'm not quite sure how I got the UTI to begin with, it is a job that you can't take a break or use the bathroom sometimes. Anyway, I diluted myself with water for the next 8 hours, followed by diluting myself with cranberry juice. The next day, no more symptoms. Water and Cranberry juice!

I am 53 years old and have suffered UTIs on and off for years. My doctor has prescribed several antibiotics including Cipro. At first they seemed to work, but the UTIs keep recurring and the antibiotics seem less and less effective. A friend told me about D-Mannose and I thought I would give it a go, as I hate having to take so many antibiotics and I know deep down that they are ruining my health. Well the d-mannose is nothing short of miraculous. Within hours the UTI pain had almost gone. I'm going to try to get mannose from my food rather than using capsules, so from now on I'll be eating berries, especially cranberries. I'm a convert! Natural cures beat pharma any day!

You cannot drink enough cranberry juice! UTI's are so painful! I have also been taking whole leaf cranberry capsule that works great. It is also helpful on cost as it is usually BOGO:)

Several studies show that cranberry juice prevents and heals UTIs. However, none of them determine how much you need to take, or for how long. I would suggest one glass per day for a few weeks, or as long as the problem persists plus a few weeks. Natural cranberry juice is quite tart, it is important not to use the sweetened stuff or your sugar intake will go through the roof, along with risk of weight gain, candida and other sugar-caused problems.
