Witch hazel stops the bleeding from a minor scratch or cut. When towelling my face after a shower, I scraped off a small scab and it started bleeding. I wet a cotton wool ball with witch hazel solution and gently dabbed the bleeding spot and pressed the ball against the cut for twenty seconds. The bleeding stopped and I could hardly see the small wound.
