YES
I used fenugreek in the pill form when necessary for my first two babies and decided to go even more natural and sprout fenugreek seeds in my own kitchen for our third child (using "mothers mix" from thesproutpeople). They are easy to sprout and delicious to eat. I also make wheatgrass and rejuvelak fromwheatberries which is another excellent source of "living" nutrition. I hope this post helps. I have three children under five yes old and I an keeping up just fine with my own health, breastfeeding, and caring for everyone in-between.

I sprout fenugreek seeds by soaking 1-2 tablespoons of seeds overnight in a little water and then drink the soaking water (tea) the next morning. After two days the I begin eating the sprouts once a day or more with my meals. I notice great improvements within 12 hours of drinking the tea or eating the seeds. I'm currently nursing my 5th baby and this works far better and quicker than any other things I've tried such as store bought herbal teas specifically for nursing.
I don't usually have troubles with nursing unless I haven't been drinking enough or nursing has been put off longer than normal a couple of times. (I typically nurse on demand which seems to keep production up for me as long as I'm also drinking lots of water.) I know this works for sure because the baby always has noticeably more wet and dirty diapers in 12 to 24 hours of consuming the tea or sprouts.

Taking fenugreek can cause a significant increase in milk supply. It also helps with maintaining an easy flow of milk with no blockages. A big increase in milk can usually be expected within 1-3 days, but it can occur within hours, or only after 2 weeks in a few cases. Most mothers find that they can stop taking the herb once their level of milk production goes up. However, it is important to make sure that both breasts are being completely emptied every two to three hours. Fenugreek will not improve low production when the breasts are not being well drained. Take 1-1.5 gm three times per day. There are no apparent side effects in babies whose mothers take the herb.
