Sesame oil is widely used in Chinese and traditional medicine. It is warming and soothing. In ayurvedic medicine, it is the best calming oil for a disturbed vata dosha, or constitution.
Only use fresh, organic, cold pressed oil. Sesame oil is damaged by heating. The sesame oil that you buy in Asian grocery stores is toasted.

YES I take one or two tablespoons and swallow. Works well especially for a boost in the winter months. Usually you will start to feel better in a week. I don this all the time and it also really helps energy levels.

Lie down, and put 2-3 drops in each nostril. This is an ancient ayurvedic remedy. I personally have not used it, so would be grateful for feedback. Thanks.
