I've had herpes for 10 years. There's no cure, all I can say is the longer you have it the less outbreaks you will have. What I can tell you that might help is how to deal with it when you do have an outbreak. You want to get rid of it as fast as possible the sooner the better. I don't use peroxide on my outbreaks this only makes it worse! if I have an out break I immediately apply ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL 99% USP. This works amazing. I can stop the growth of the outbreak in one day. Just apply to effected area as many times as you can this will dry out the ob and stop the spreading. If you really want to heal the ob faster then take a sewing needle and poke the blisters to release the virus fluid and immediately soak the infected area with the ALCOHOL. Keep doing this throughout the day until you feel no more sorness when you touch it. There should only be a scab but not tender to the touch. If the next day you see any white filled blister poke it with a needle and repeat treatment with ALCOHOL 99%. I'm only telling you this because it works and I know what its like to suffer from this virus and if I can help just one person out there at least something positive came out of all of the suffering I've been through.
