Grow Youthful: How to Slow Your Aging and Enjoy Extraordinary Health

Ailment: Insomnia

Remedy: Bath - warm

A warm bath is very relaxing. Taking a warm bath immediately before bed helps you get a good night's sleep. Adding Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) to the bath is a great way to raise your magnesium level (most people are low in magnesium). The magnesium also helps ensure a good sleep. A few drops of essential lavender oil also helps with your relaxation and sleep.

YES
When I am not sleeping well, I take a warm bath before going to bed. I always add a handful of magnesium salts, and a few drops of my favorite essential oil. Lavender seems to work well for relaxation, as well as fennel, geranium, jasmine or one of the citrus oils. I feel that water has something spiritual about it, washing over more than just the skin of the body. When I regularly use the magnesium on my skin, I sleep and feel so much better.
